If there's one single, fabulous, fun-filled reason for you to move to Ingersoll, it's our amazing annual festivals!  There's always something going on that the whole family can enjoy and you don't need an invitation, just come on down and join in the fun!

Most of the festivals happen each year, and there are always new activities and events being thought up and created!  There will be several new events at the Cheese & Agricultural Museum in 2013, including the Magic Maple Syrup Festival, Heritage Week and Thomas Ingersoll Day!

“May Day” in May

Celebrate the arrival of Spring with music, dance and traditional activities including wagon rides, sheep shearing and a May Pole.

Annual “Great Gazebo Ribfest” in June

This is one finger-lickin' good downtown street party featuring the best of Ingersoll food, which always includes ribs and, of course, our most famous export, cheese!


Annual “Canterbury Folk Festival” in July

Attracting folk musicians from across Canada and the world, this festival of great music and superb musicianship has something for everyone, including workshops, open stages, stalls and the famous swine and wine pig roast!

“Down on the Farm” in July

An afternoon of great family fun and farmyard games including a tractor pull, rodeo games, pony rides, a costume contest and the popular petting zoo for younger children.

“Harvest Festival” in August

Five days of celebrations right across town, including food evenings, entertainment, craft stalls, and a weekend of free activities for all the family.

“Pumpkin Fest” in October

Everyone's favourite squash is the star of the show, with pumpkin decorating, pumpkin games and crafts, entertainment and more fun that you can shake a Cucurbita maxima at!

“Passport to the Arts” in October

Every household in Ingersoll is invited to the best local dance, literary, music, fine arts, theatre, craft and visual arts events, with a chance to purchase items made by local craftspeople and artists.

“Moonlight Madness and downtown Tree Lighting” in November

Experience Christmas and holiday shopping in downtown Ingersoll the way it was meant to be! Come see the Great Gazebo Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony as it is lit by the Mayor and listen to music and entertainment while you enjoy warm treats!  You can take advantage of a full day and evening of delightful retail therapy as you stroll the charming, garland-decorated downtown area. Peer through holiday decorated windows, and browse and shop in our many unique, boutiques as most stay open late, some ‘til 11:00 pm, then take a break at a cozy café or restaurant, which will hopefully all help to get you into the holiday mood.

“Santa's Festival Village” & “Festival of Lights” from November to January

Come and see the over 300 dazzling, award-winning light displays in Ingersoll’s five local parks and downtown area which light the way to Christmas. Remember to drop by with the kids at “Santa's Festival Village” at the Cheese & Agricultural Museum, for a little visit with Santa, have their face painted, enjoy warm treats, stories and even buy a Christmas tree
